St. Joseph's Maintenance Committee

The maintenance committee was formed in 2001 and the mandate for this committee was to maintain and bring back to a state of repair any problems that arise regarding St. Joseph’s Church and Parish Centre including grounds and parking lots.

The committee has eight members providing expert professional advice; in addition, manpower to keep repairs cost to a minimum.

Projects that will take place in the future are:

  • Lighting in the Church will be replaced with energy efficient bulbs to save money on utilities.
  • Hall upstairs to be renovated to bring building up to code
Anyone interested in donating their time or funds in helping the parish offset the cost should contact Fr. Dennis or Mike Bechard at the Parish. Projects that have been completed in the past few months are:

  • Parking lot on east side of Parish Centre is complete at stage one.
  • New outside lights were added on to the side of the hall for better nighttime vision.
  • Kitchen renovations in Parish Centre have begun with improvements on lighting, new fridge and work done on the exhaust fan.
  • A risk management report was done on the property buildings of St. Joseph's by the insurance company and 24 discrepancies were noted. The majority were minor discrepancies and will be corrected within 30 days.
  • Walk about was done late summer on the Church and all noted to be in good condition.
We would like to thank the parishioners of St. Joseph’s for their time and donations for keeping St. Joseph’s Parish and Parish Centre alive and beautiful.
